Why not have a read of the Department for Work and Pensions' Employment of Disabled People report!

This report by the government explores changes in the employment of disabled people, which have occurred over the last two decades.

It starts with two bits of good news: the employment of disabled people has increased, particularly since 2013, and the employment gap between disabled people and non-disabled people has decreased.

However, the report highlights that there is still a vast 28.1% employment gap and that disabled people are twice as likely to move out of work than non-disabled employees.

There is also a concerning amount of variation between different disabled groups with severely disabled people, particularly those with multiple mental illnesses, having far lower employment prospects.

KEEN will have to work closely with unemployed people with disabilities, employers and the government in order to achieve equality between disabled and non-disabled people in the workplace.

Go on, give it a read!
