Join us at a critical time for supporting inclusion. Lead positive social change and leave a legacy.

An award-winning charity that is very highly regarded in the sector and led by disabled and non-disabled people at all levels, we exist because disabled people are still marginalised and excluded. Particularly in light of the impact of coronavirus, tackling this is more urgent than ever.

The National KEEN Committee is responsible for overseeing and managing our mission of promoting the inclusion of disabled people across the UK. The Committee consists of a variety of leadership positions relating to setting up branches, operations, finance, publicity and lots more. In a role on the Committee, you will be part of a fantastic team, make friends, develop a wide range of skills, and create a lasting impact across the UK.

Inclusivity: We particularly welcome applicants with a lived experience of disability. We want to practice what we preach! We are committed to making all our roles and initiatives accessible to anyone, we are proud that both disabled and non-disabled people work together at all levels of our organisation. If you are enthusiastic about KEEN’s mission we encourage you to apply!

Frequently Asked Questions

What skills and experiences do I need?

While these roles are great learning experiences, they are senior roles within the KEEN volunteer team. As a result, applicants will generally be able to demonstrate some relevant skills and prior experience, such as a previous committee or leadership position. However, the most important thing we’re looking for is a strong commitment to promoting inclusivity across the UK and a desire to make a difference, so if you’re interested please apply!

What does the application process involve?

  • The first step is to fill in the application form for the position you want to apply for below.

  • Next, we’ll be in touch to progress your application, likely through an informal interview. Don’t worry about this step - it will just involve a conversation about your motivations for applying and what you think you can bring to the role.

  • If the interview goes well, you’ll be offered the role and join KEEN’s National Committee!
