If you are looking for a way to make society better, this is the programme for you!

1. Through promoting inclusivity, KEEN provides a diverse array of activities to suit participants with a wide range of needs. You could be the one to make a child’s day so much better.

2. Phoebe, a current Young Leader, says her favourite moment is ‘when everyone shares their stretches at the end of the (movement and exercise) classes’ as it ‘really makes her smile’. This feeling of having accomplished something worthwhile as a part of a group is invaluable and demonstrate the ethos of compassion, as well as showing how easy it is to make new friends

3. Young Leaders Ella and Joanne say it is a perfect way to take away the stress of a long school day, so it is easy to fit around other commitments. The programme is flexible and designed to ensure you get the maximum out of it- if you have any particular interests, your personal and leadership projects can be focused around this.

4. Did you know the Young Leaders Programme can be used for the volunteering aspect of the Duke of Edinburgh award? Therefore it is a perfect way to accomplish another award, as well as a way to stand out from the crowd when writing your personal statement or CV. It shows that you are ambitious, motivated and can take initiative.

5. An overwhelming proportion (93%) of Young Leaders felt they learnt valuable skills, such as leadership and communication. The programme offers a unique chance to develop skills necessary for school, university and any jobs, in a fun and low-pressured environment. Lisa says it helped her ‘step out of her comfort zone’, and Terris says it helped him learn to think on his feet, which is a crucial skill for any situation.
