What is KEEN to Communicate?
KEEN to Communicate is a set of easy read resources for parents, carers and session buddies.
Resource packs include information, top tips and fun activities for developing the fundamental skills for language and communication, to get people confidently communicating. You can find these at these at the bottom of this page.
The activities included are suitable for people of all ages with delayed communication and language skills. They are also suitable for a range of communication methods, with activities for both verbal and non-verbal communicators.
What does KEEN to Communicate involve?
KEEN to Communicate is a programme that you can work through in your own time. Below you will find 6 different packs containing information and activities for developing 6 different communication skills:
Eye contact
Decision making
Listening
Copying
Taking turns
Sounds, speech and signs
You should read through the information, tips and things to remember sections first.
Once you understand more about the skill, you can start to complete the activities with anybody you feel would benefit.
We recommend you work through each pack on a weekly basis.
